“Women nowadays do anything.” Women’s role in conflict, peace and security in Yemen

This paper provides an overview of existing knowledge on women’s interactions with peacebuilding efforts in Yemen, with the aim of informing current strategies to enhance their role. In doing so, it examines key questions related to women’s past political participation, the impact of conflict on their lives, the social norms shaping their activism, and examples of their involvement in peacebuilding processes.
